Curated from the Barton Foundation Permanent Art Collection, this exhibition explores the human body in portrait and figure, including works with artistic nudity
January 16 - February 21
Reception January 16, 4-6 pm
Shafer Art Gallery is excited to present Go Figure, a new
exhibition curated by Lindsey Bogner, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and Foundation Director at Barton Community College. This thoughtful show highlights figurative works drawn entirely from our permanent collection, bringing together portraits, scenes of cowboys, sculpture, prints, a historic temple rubbing, and more.
Several pieces in the exhibition have never before been on public view, including a selection of nude studies that have remained in our collection room for decades. Go Figure invites visitors to explore the human form in its many expressions, offering a rare glimpse into artworks that help shape the depth and history of our collection.
